Nine out of ten parents don’t know first aid facts that could help them save their child’s life, and only 20 per cent of parents in the UK think that they could resuscitate their child. The Royal Life Saving Society UK finds these statistics shocking, but not surprising. 22% of parents in the midlands have suffered the distress of watching their child choke and “didn’t know what to do”.
